Due to its position, Lucca is perfect for daily trips to other Tuscan Towns (Florence, Pisa, Siena...) and for visiting the Versilian coasts, the Apuane Alpes with their marble Quarries and for walking the Romantic Trail of "Cinque Terre".
The third Sunday of each month there is the characteristic Antique Market.
For several years, in November, fantastic cosplayers have been coming to town for "Lucca Comics and Games", while in July big artists from all over the world gather in Lucca for one of the most important music events of the Tuscan summer, the "Lucca Summer Festival".
